Our Code
01:57
|
|||
All the times they tried to make us feel
Like our views weren’t legitimate or weren’t real
Come with us and take our side they stressed
Never cared for their view, through our own path we pressed
Claimed we were just too fanatic
At least we weren’t wrapped up in wasteful static
Made our own decisions our promises were kept
One by one they ate their words, till they had none left
We live by our own code We bare our own load
All the truths you though you knew
Proved to be false, you had no clue
All the unwanted advice you gave
Was ignored our own lives we paved
Time has past now look where you stand
A shell of yourself a broken down man
Cause we lived by our own code
Well you followed the common road

Yo Brah!
02:44
|

When I was young I didn’t have to think my decisions out
But as I grow older I wonder what my life will be about
Devotion and commitment have led me to past success
But the crossroads are in front of me what path will I choose next
The future’s coming. What will be my fate
Decisions must be made What path will It take
Successes of the past, I know I must maintain
Pressures of the present, I must overcome the strain
The decisions and mistakes of the past are just that
They can’t be altered or changed they can’t be taken back
Uncertainty and fear have clouded my drive and vision
The paths are ever changing but I know I can make the right decision
Its not always easy to choose the path that’s right
When doubt and failure disrupt out sight
Even if I continue struggling to find my way
I will never lose faith in better days

Reunion
01:02
|
|||
I’m back again and so much time has past
the world has changed and so have I since I saw you last
but some things never change, your still in my heart and mind
this tie that binds us survives, overcomes all distance and time
The root is here and it remains intact (reunion of)
the grip is alive, the bind will not crack(this strengthened bond)
Gone again not much time has past, but the memories will have to suffice until I see you next
these days have past, it couldn’t last forever even though the time went quick, it was nice to be together.

Hayward
02:35
|
|||
Late one night walking Hayward bound
ran into a girl who was lost and could not be found
she was scared, confused and high as hell
asked for a ride, a phone, someone to make her well
It would have been easy to not even care
But would it have been right or even fair?
She was a stranger, but I treated her as friend
Showed some compassion and did what was right in the end
A young girl destroyed for reasons unknown
Under 21 filthy and all alone
T first thought was to ignore her, send her on her way
I looked in her eyes and my negligence faded away
the police and ambulances came to help tonight
My friends whose mind was not quite right
I’m left to pray we helped for the better
They led her to the stretcher and away forever
To the cops it might have just been a routine case
But as they led her away she looked back and I cant forget that face

Righteous Stand
01:15
|
|||
You follow the popular voice, but I’d rather make the righteous choice
incentive based on hate and greed, ignoring the morality we need
a lack of ethical depth, the cost of injustice
You can’t ignore that through time so many have felt the sting of pain, refused to yield to the intolerant and made a Righteous, stand
Selflessness you lack, a personal crisis is the only time you react
but the final straw has long passed, and the world tires of your selfish acts
Its about what’s right, not accepted, injustice pervades were all effected.
Fred Shuttlesworth and Martin Luther king made a righteous change, Nguyen Dan Que made a righteous stand. William Lloyd Garrison had a Righteous voice , Steve Biko made a righteous choice.

I see you shoot up
I see you take a hit
I see your eyes roll
I see you get hit
I see through your scam
I see you getting high
Offer me a toke
That's a good way to die
Addiction to disease
Disease calls for help
I'm blue in the face, man
You've got to help yourself
